Life itself has provided me with amazing experiences from which I have learned to create and express myself.
Good or bad, times have come by, and then have gone away leaving behind emotions that you can decide to either avoid or confront. For a long time my mode of expression and my way of life was to pick up a guitar and play the blues. Many times I have confronted life’s stigmas using 6 strings until I found some real peace and happiness…
In 2009, a lot changed in my life and moving on from that point I discovered a side of me I barely knew existed. Could I be creative? I wasn’t sure, but I decided to explore the world of photography, put myself behind a camera and follow my instinct. Of course I had used a camera before and done a few bits and pieces but never thought I would fall in love with photography the way I did then.
Similarly to music, I am self-taught and as a result I may lack a lot of the theoretical knowledge some potentially possess. What I have though is an intrinsic ability to look deep into emotions, feelings, behaviours, body language and that is what I try to always capture in my pictures when photographing people. I love to capture a true instant in one’s life and translate a look, an attitude or a pose into a meaningful reflection of a human and the soul.
Having a camera in my hands continues the momentum of my ever-growing happiness. Creating “art”, if that is what I do, is liberating and fulfils me with joy, which I transmit to others.
I don’t know whether I can qualify myself as an artist or fit into a genre but I photograph what ever stimulates my feelings at the time, I improvise always…
I have for a long time evolved either as an athlete or worked around athletes, therefore my work is actually a reflection of this. I know I will develop and explore other photographic topics in due time but for now I go along with what puts a smile on my face.
I have a dream and a passion to follow, photography is an amazing medium to express my ideas, my emotions and I look forward to grow more every day and provide you with a personal true perspective and genuine portrait of this life we all share.
I live a beautiful life in Melbourne Australia with my partner Allira who is a great source of my stability…
See you soon,
